Joel is currently serving as a Maintenance Specialist and Assistant to the Director of Maintenance at the MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.
Joel is a 2012 graduate of the Missionary Aviation Technology program at Moody Bible Institute and is an FAA certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic. Joel served in internships with Proclaim Aviation and MMS Aviation in preparation for his full-time missionary service and has turned wrenches in Guatemala and Honduras, in support of MAG programs. Joel is also involved in training and mentoring apprentice pilots as they prepare for service on foreign fields.
Sean & Deb Donnelly
The Donnelly family serves at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.
As President and CEO, Sean develops and oversees all MAG’s international flight and ministry programs and the partnerships that sustain them. He also leads MAG’s Executive Management and Development Teams. Deb teaches at a nearby Christian school and assists MAG with hospitality and coordinating housing for incoming staff and apprentices.
Sean is an ordained minister in full-time ministry since 1997. He served as Senior Pastor of two churches before transitioning to full-time missionary service in 2010, and is rated as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and Certified Flight Instructor (CFII, MEI, Gold Seal) with 3700 flight hours.
Sean & Carmen Garrigan
The Garrigans are currently serving at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.
As MAG’s Lead Flight Instructor, Sean prepares missionary pilots for field deployment. Carmen ministers to apprentice families during their time in Burlington and works to mobilize the local church to fulfill the great commission. Sean is a graduate of the Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Miramar College in San Diego and attended San Diego Christian College. Carmen received her B.A. in Spanish from Pepperdine University and went on to Princeton Theological Seminary for her Masters in Divinity.
Sean is an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and is licensed as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic. Carmen is an ordained Presbyterian Pastor.
Scott & Jessica Grote
The Grote family currently serves at MAG Headquarters in Burlington, NC.
As Director of Aircraft Maintenance, Scott is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and inspection of all MAG aircraft whether here in the US or overseas in MAG’s field programs in Africa and Central America. Scott completed a missionary aviation maintenance apprenticeship at MMS Aviation in Coshocton, Ohio in 2004 before taking a staff position there as an aircraft maintenance supervisor. That experience carries over to MAG as Scott trains and mentors pilot-mechanic apprentices as they prepare for missionary field service
Scott is an Instrument Rated Commercial Pilot and licensed as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with an Inspection Authorization (IA).
John & Mollie Harmon
John serves at MAG headquarters in Burlington, NC as the ministry’s Chief Financial Officer.
After 3 terms as a missionary pilot-mechanic in Brazil, John served as CFO for JAARS for a number of years prior to moving on to Director of Finance and Treasurer at Mission to the World. John also serves as a board member with the Spokane Turbine Center.
John earned a degree in Biblical Studies and Missions at Columbia Int'l University before receiving his pilot and mechanic certificates at Moody Aviation. He later earned his MBA degree with an emphasis in International Finance at University of South Carolina. Mollie is a Registered Nurse.
Brad & Crystal Hoblit
The Hoblits are serving in the MAG Training Department in Burlington, on loan from MMS Aviation in Ohio, as part of a pilot-mechanic apprenticeship program. They are actively supporting MAG ministry programs while being trained for career missionary service abroad.
Jason & Anita Maust
The Mausts are serving in the MAG Training Department in Burlington, on loan from MMS Aviation in Ohio, as part of a pilot-mechanic apprenticeship program. They are actively supporting MAG ministry programs while being trained for career missionary service abroad.
Keith & Jenny Woockman
The Woockmans are serving in the MAG Training Department in Burlington, on loan from MMS Aviation in Ohio, as part of a pilot-mechanic apprenticeship program. They are actively supporting MAG ministry programs while being trained for career missionary service abroad.
Part-Time & Associate Staff
Zack is a 1000 hour pilot with experience ranging from Pipers to Pilatus. He is a Missions Mobilization Coordinator at the Summit Church (Raleigh), and is currently working towards his Masters in Intercultural Studies/Missiology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. As a MAG Associate Staff member, Zach provides flight instruction to MAG apprentices and assists as part of our safety team at the Burlington hangar.
Trish is a former airline pilot with over 4000 flight hours, flying in the Midwest and Hawaii. She attends Mebane UMC and instructs at Elon Aviation. Trish serves as a part-time flight instructor in MAG’s Burlington training department.
Eric is a retired Insurance Executive who relocated to North Carolina in 2009 to serve as a “full-time volunteer” in ministry. Eric works tirelessly in MAG’s accounting department as the Payables Manager and Bookeeper. In his “spare time” he helps on the facility management team in addition to serving on the MAG Board of Directors. – and he makes great BBQ!
Damon is a business owner from the Atlanta area. Involved for many years in short-term international missions, Damon and his wife Stacey are now in preparation for full time missionary service. As an Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII) with experience in a variety of aircraft, Damon serves as a part-time flight instructor in MAG’s Burlington training department.
